Shelter
"...we, their friends, all know the winds and the rain will come, and they will be cold, oh God will they be cold. But then we will come too...and there will be shelter." -Anne Lamott
This here is a blog about building a life. I'm on the grid, and around me are my husband and sons, my community of Sikhs and yogis, my greater family. And on from there. Every day I wake up and put my hands on drowsy heads, crusted dishes, soaking diapers, my husband's skin, the phone, cheese and bread and drink. And remake my home again. I do it, like the Amish, with the hands of my people on every side. They carry and craft for me, and I do the same for them. From the hugeness of human life: a haven.
